Guppy Male Red Cap Galaxy Mix

Very popular aquarium fish. Breeds very easily, best kept with similar sized fish in a planted community tank. The Male Red Cap Galaxy Mix Guppy is a result of selective breeding over many years. Guppies require clean, oxygen-rich water. Making sure filters are cleaned regularly to ensure sure all biological filters are working properly, ensuring no ammonia or nitrite is present to help with the overall health of the fish.

The Best Aquarium Size for Guppies:

You should provide at least 4L space for one fish. It is recommended to keep at least a trio (three) together. Because if you keep your guppy alone, they will feel lonely. So, the recommended tank size is at least 20L tank for three guppies. But if you wish to add more guppies or plants, decorations in your aquarium, you need to think about a bigger tank for your fishes. The rule of thumb a lot of people use is adding 3 guppies to per 40L of fish tank.

Compatible:

Pseudomogil species such as fork-tail rainbows, blue eyes, rice-fish and nano aquarium fish can tolerate hard water conditions.

  • Platies
  • Bristlenose plecos
  • Dwarf Gourami
  • Guppies
 

     

    Avoid: 

    Medium growing or possibly fin nipping species. Bettas should also be avoided because of their similar flashy nature to guppies which could lead to aggression from the bettas' end. 
    Large and aggressive species would prey on the guppies such as Oscars, or jaguar cichlids.

     

     

    Feeding :

    Always supplement fish flakes with other types of food for a varied diet. Small size pellet fish food, tropical flake food, live, and frozen goods, like bloodworms. The guppies will also enjoy fozen or live brine shrip, blood worms, mosquito larvae, etc. 
    Feeding them once a day is enough. Avoid giving them too much food. The food your guppies leave uneaten will rot and may pollute the water in your aquarium. Remeber to remove any uneaten food as soon as possible.

    The temperature of your guppy’s tank should match that of its native, natural habitat: South American and Amazonian waters. Ideal water temperatures sit between at a stable number between 22  ⁰C - 28  ⁰C.
