

Snail Freshwater - Nerite
Nerite Snails are one of the most popular freshwater aquarium snails. They are outstanding tank cleaners and effective algae eating snails around. They are popular in planted aquariums. Nerite Snail care is easy, a hardy species and able to adapt to a range of water conditions but do prefer tropical conditions.
Please note: avoid the use of copper based treatments if invertebrates/snails are present in the tank. Ensure Nerite snails are not left upside down as they have difficulty turning themselves back upright and may die if left unattended.

Nerite snail's are slow moving and lack ability to defend themselves other than retracting into their shell. Only keep with peaceful small species of aquarium fish that are not known to nip.
